On Tuesday 27 January 2026, the Senegalese Football Federation appeared before the Disciplinary Board of the Confederation of African Football.

This hearing is part of the proceedings initiated following reports by officials and reservations expressed by the Royal Moroccan Football Federation after the final of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, the FSF said in a statement.

The coach of the Senegalese national team, Pape Thiaw, as well as players Ismaïla Sarr and Iliman Ndiaye, were also heard by the disciplinary body.

At the end of the proceedings, the Disciplinary Board decided to take the matter under advisement. The final decision will be announced within 48 hours, as determined by the Chair of the Board.
