RB Leipzig's forward Timo Werner is set to miss his team's match, as reported by journalist Fabrizio Romano.

The German team is engaged in a friendly match against St. Gallen, and Timo Werner is notably absent from the squad for this game. According to Romano's information, the footballer is preparing for a loan move to Tottenham within the next 48 hours. The deal is in its final stages, with both clubs ironing out details regarding the buyout option. Tottenham will cover Werner's entire salary.

In the current season, Werner has been sidelined from the starting lineup of the Bulls, featuring in only 14 matches, where he scored 2 goals and provided 1 assist. Previously, Werner had a stint in England with Chelsea, where he struggled to meet expectations, tallying 23 goals and 21 assists in 89 matches.

In January, Tottenham lost their key forward Son Heung-Min, who joined the Asian Cup with the South Korean national team.
