Egyptian football legend Ahmed Hossam "Mido" has publicly criticised Senegalese Sadio Mane after Al Nassr lost 2-1 to Al Ittihad in the Saudi Professional League on Friday. The Senegalese winger was heavily criticised after a lacklustre performance, including missing a single chance in the first half, sparking outrage among fans on social media.

Speaking on the TV program Dorena Ghair, Mido highlighted what he perceives as a lack of urgency in Mané’s game:
"Sadio Mané has no excuses. He’s not delivering because he doesn’t feel the pressure at Al Nassr."

Mido pointed to a lack of internal competition within the squad as a factor behind the former Liverpool star’s underwhelming displays:
"Every player needs to feel the threat of losing their place. Mané doesn’t have that at Al Nassr, which reflects in his poor performances."

The Egyptian pundit also dismissed earlier excuses regarding tactical disorganization under former coach Luís Castro:
"With Stefano Pioli now in charge, the team has improved significantly in the attacking third, yet Mané’s form remains disappointing."

Due to his difficulties, Mané's position at Al Nassr has come under scrutiny, and both supporters and experts are urging the player to take charge and regain his reputation as one of the best wingers in football.
