The former Manchester United footballer is returning to his former club
The former Manchester United center-back Eric Bailly is returning to Villarreal, as reported by journalist Fabrizio Romano.
According to sources, the Spanish team is close to bringing back their player. Bailly will replace Gabia, who is on the verge of returning to Milan. The contract is agreed upon, with only final details remaining before he signs the documents. An official announcement will follow soon.
It is worth recalling that Bailly's transfer to Villarreal was announced, where he was supposed to replace Gabriel Paulista, on January 29, 2015. "The Yellow Submarine" paid €7.5 million for the transfer of the center-back. The contract was signed for a term of five and a half years.
In June 2016, Eric Bailly officially signed a four-year contract with Manchester United, with an option to extend for another two years. Bailly moved from Manchester United to Besiktas for free in September. On December 11, Bailly was among five players whom Besiktas removed "due to their poor performance and incompatibility within the team."
