The former German national team player retired at the age of 35
Former German national team player Max Kruse retired from football at the age of 35.
He announced this on social networks.
“At the age of 35, I decided to start a new phase. Football is already over for me,” he wrote.
The famous German football player was still a Paderborn player until the end of November, but decided to break his contract. The cause was numerous injuries.
In total, he played over 500 matches at the professional level, in which he scored 163 goals. He managed to play for the German “Wolfsburg”, “Union”, “Freiburg”, “Werder” and “St. Pauli”. He also spent a season in the Turkish Fenerbahce.
Kruse is the winner of the German Super Cup in 2015. He played 14 matches for the German national team and played at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo, where the team took third place in the group.
