The former Borussia Dortmund midfielder is back in the Bundesliga

Stuttgart has officially announced the loan acquisition of central midfielder Mahmoud Dahoud from Brighton until the conclusion of the season.

As per Fabrizio Romano, the German club holds a purchase option for the 28-year-old player in the summer for €10 million. However, this option is not obligatory.

Dahoud, who only moved to Brighton last summer from Borussia Dortmund on a free transfer, failed to make an impact at the English club, participating in just 9 matches and providing 1 assist in the Premier League.

This footballer spent 6 seasons with Borussia Dortmund, and prior to that, he played for his hometown club, Borussia Mönchengladbach, for 4 seasons.

Stuttgart has been notably impressive in the current season. After 19 rounds of the Bundesliga, Sebastian Hoeness's team holds the third position with 37 points to their name.
