On Tuesday, February 3, the second EFL Cup semi-final between Arsenal and Chelsea took place.

The first leg ended with a 3:2 victory for the Gunners, meaning the Blues had to push forward in this match in order to win and try to save the tie.

The game turned out to be extremely tense. For all 90 minutes, both teams played with great caution, patiently searching for a single decisive moment. That moment arrived in the 90+7th minute, during the very last attack of the match. Arsenal broke forward on the counter and found the net.

Kai Havertz scored the decisive goal and secured a 1:0 victory in this match. On aggregate, Arsenal won 4:2 and became the first finalist of the English League Cup.

The second finalist will be determined after the semi-final clash between Manchester City and Newcastle.
