The finalists for the 2024 World Series in baseball have been determined
The sixth game of the baseball World Series semifinals took place on the night of Monday, October 21, revealing the two finalists who will battle for the championship.
First, the New York Yankees defeated the Cleveland Guardians in five games, securing a 4-1 series victory (5-2, 6-3, 5-7, 8-6, 5-2). This marks the Yankees’ first return to the final since 2009, when they last clinched the title by beating the Philadelphia Phillies.
The second finalist is the Los Angeles Dodgers. The California team needed six games to overcome the New York Mets (9-0, 3-7, 8-0, 10-2, 6-12, 10-5). The Dodgers last reached and won the final in 2020, defeating the Tampa Bay Rays.
Throughout franchise history, the Dodgers have claimed seven World Series titles in 21 appearances. Meanwhile, the Yankees remain the most decorated club in MLB history, with 27 championships and 13 runner-up finishes.
