The FECAFOOT Appeals Committee reduces Colombe’s sanctions
The club had been severely sanctioned following its controversial boycott of the Cameroon Super Cup.
However, Colombe lodged an appeal with the Appeals Committee of the Cameroonian Football Federation. And the club has won its case. Initially fined 30 million CFA francs, Colombe will now have to pay 5 million.
On an individual level, the sanctions have also been revised. Coach Richard Towa has seen his suspension reduced from six months to one month, whilst his fine has been cut from 5 million to 300,000 CFA francs.
For his part, club president Edjiane has also had his penalty reduced. His suspension has been cut from twelve to six months.
Although it had been excluded from the 2026 Cameroon Cup, Colombe has finally been reinstated in the competition.
