On Wednesday, February 21st, the next round of matches in the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 took place. Among them, Napoli hosted Barcelona at home. The champions of their respective countries clashed on the field.

The Catalans started the match much stronger and dominated the first half overall. With more possession, seven shots towards goal, and three shots on target, they controlled the game. Meanwhile, Napoli failed to produce any shots on Ter Stegen's goal. However, Barça couldn't find the back of the net in the first half.

After the break, Xavi's team managed to convert their gameplay superiority into a goal. In the 60th minute, Robert Lewandowski, assisted by Pedri, put Barcelona ahead. The Catalans eased off a bit, allowing Napoli to attack more and take control of the initiative. In the 75th minute, Victor Osimhen responded with a goal to Lewandowski's strike, leveling the score at 1-1.

The teams settled for a draw in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 - the game ended in a 1-1 stalemate. Everything will be decided in Spain in a few weeks, on March 12th.
