This season, Chelsea's attack can by no means be called overly effective. The Blues' strikers are failing to realise moment after moment, which could result in a second consecutive season without a European trophy. But, former Pensioners' defender William Gallas was particularly critical of forward Nicholas Jackson:

"If you are a Chelsea owner or sporting director, and you see your striker miss three great chances - chances he should have scored - in the FA Cup semi-final, then your priority will be to sign a world-class striker in the summer.

Next season, I'm sure Chelsea will acquire one world-class striker. For me, Jackson can't complain about losing his place in the team. He had so many chances to assert himself (as the club's main striker). He had the opportunity, but he didn't take it," Gallas said in a conversation with Lord Ping.
