The ex-Bayern coach could lead the European team

The leaders of the Kosovo Football Federation have found a new candidate for the position of head coach of the national team.

According to the portal n1info.ba, they will try to persuade Wolfsburg head coach Niko Kovac to lead their team.

It is reasonable to remind you that Kosovo did not qualify for the final part of Euro 2024. It took fifth place in their group, which was a big disappointment for fans and federation leaders. Initially, many considered this group to be quite simple, because Israel, Belarus, Andorra, Romania and Switzerland played in it. As a result, the Romanians and the Swiss advanced to the final part of the tournament.

After completing the qualifications, Slovenian coach Primož Gliha was dismissed from his position.

Now the Kosovo Football Federation is looking for a new coach. The source assures that the ex-mentor of Bayern and the Croatian national team is one of the priority candidates.

In the near future, the representatives of the Kosovo Football Federation plan to meet with Kovac to persuade him to accept the team.

In addition to Kovac, Blaz Sliskovic, Ilir Daji and Fatih Terim are being considered for the position.
