The ex-Barcelona forward will travel to Brazil after his transfer to Olympiacos collapsed

Former Barcelona forward Martin Braithwaite has chosen an unexpected destination for the next chapter of his career.
The Danish striker has officially agreed to all contract terms with Brazilian club Grêmio. Braithwaite now just needs to fly to Brazil, undergo a medical examination, and sign the contract.
Previously, Braithwaite was on the verge of joining Olympiacos, but his transfer to the Conference League champions fell through at the last moment.
Braithwaite's last club was Espanyol, which he left this summer as a free agent. The 33-year-old striker scored 22 goals in 39 matches in the Segunda División last season.
Grêmio is struggling this season. After 16 matches, the team is in the relegation zone of the Brazilian Serie A, sitting in 18th place with 14 points.
