Barcelona paid €12 million for him from English side Everton in 2017, and now he is close to ending his career due to a knee injury at the age of 29.

Udinese striker Gerard Deulofeu has been off the pitch for 13 months now and as the striker himself admitted in a conversation with Jiiantes, he is contemplating the end of his football career.

As the Spaniard said, the lack of football is forcing him to "go through adversity". Deulofeu is focused on recovering from his injury, but he is open to the option of ending his career.

Deulofeu's contract with Udinese runs until June 2026, and he could move to a second-tier club if he is eventually forced to leave the team.

The Blaugrana-born player mostly featured for Barcelona's main team in the first half of the 2017/2018 season, and totalled 23 games in the Catalan capital, in which he featured two goals and two assists.
