The EPL record didn't help. Manchester City shared the points with Newcastle United

Manchester City visited Newcastle for the 6th round match of the English Premier League.
The teams played an even first half without either side gaining a significant advantage. In the 35th minute, the "Citizens" took the lead as Josko Gvardiol scored after a pass from Jack Grealish.
Interestingly, this goal set a new Premier League record for Man City. The team has now scored in each of their last 32 Premier League matches against Newcastle, marking the longest streak of one team scoring against another in the history of the competition.
In the second half, the home side took control, pushing Pep Guardiola’s team back towards their goal. A series of Newcastle attacks led to a penalty, which was converted by Anthony Gordon.
Notably, Gordon has now scored in seven of his last eight home Premier League matches against teams from the league's "Big Six."
Newcastle continued to press and came closer to scoring a second goal than their formidable opponents. However, no more goals were scored, and the match ended 1-1.
As a result, Manchester City dropped points for the second match in a row, giving Arsenal a chance to catch up if they beat Leicester. Liverpool and Aston Villa, if successful, could overtake the Blues in the table.
