Crystal Palace has officially announced the contract extension of central midfielder Cheick Doucouré.

The new agreement for the 24-year-old Malian footballer with the London club extends until the summer of 2029. His previous contract was set to expire two years earlier.

Doucouré serves as a pivotal player in the center of the field for Crystal Palace. In the summer, Liverpool expressed interest in him, but failed to reach an agreement with the Eagles.

Before joining Crystal Palace, Doucouré played for Lens and made the move for €22.6 million in the summer of 2022.

It's worth noting that this month, Oliver Glasner took over as the new head coach of Crystal Palace.
