The end is near? It has been revealed when Luka Modrić will retire from football

The upcoming World Cup will mark Modrić's final appearance on the biggest stage.

Details: According to insider Nicolò Schira on his social media page X, the 40-year-old midfielder from Milan and the Croatian national team will announce his retirement from professional football after the World Cup.

It is highly likely that Modrić will not sign a new contract with Milan, making this current season his last in top-flight football.

Luka Modrić began his career in 2003 with Dinamo Zagreb. He also played for clubs such as Zrinjski Mostar, Inter Zaprešić, Tottenham, Real Madrid, and, as mentioned above, Milan.

At club level, Modrić has made 932 appearances, scoring 99 goals and providing 143 assists. For the Croatian national team, he has played 196 matches and netted 28 goals.
