The eighth time in history. Los Angeles Dodgers win the World Series title


On the night of Thursday, October 31, the fifth game of the World Series final took place between the New York Yankees and the Los Angeles Dodgers, a clash that determined the season's champion.
Heading into the game, the Dodgers led the series 3-1, putting the Yankees in a must-win situation. The Yankees surged ahead early with a 5-0 lead, but by the fifth inning, Los Angeles had leveled the score at 5-5.
In the following inning, New York reclaimed the lead at 6-5, yet by the eighth, Los Angeles turned the tide and took a 7-6 advantage.
The Dodgers held onto that narrow 7-6 lead to clinch the game, ultimately winning the series 4-1 and securing their eighth World Series title in franchise history. Notably, the series MVP honor went to Los Angeles star Freddie Freeman.
