The draw for the football tournaments of the 2024 Olympics will take place on Wednesday, March 20, in Paris, where the Olympics will be held in the summer.
The Men's Olympic football tournament in Paris 2024 will take place from July 24 to August 9, and the Women's football tournament will take place from July 25 to August 10.
12 out of 16 teams participating in the Men's Olympic football tournament are already known: Argentina, Dominican Republic, Egypt, France, Israel, Mali, Morocco, New Zealand, Paraguay, Spain, Ukraine, and the USA. Three teams will qualify through the AFC U23 Asian Cup, and another team through an intercontinental playoff between Asia and Africa.
The 16 qualified teams will be divided into four pots of four teams each based on a ranking system created according to past sporting results. The ranking system is based on the total number of points earned in the last five Olympic football tournaments for men, namely in 2020, 2016, 2012, 2008, and 2004.
