The DR Congo Leopards arrive in Guadalajara, Mexico
The training camp officially began on Monday 23 March to prepare for the final of the 2026 World Cup intercontinental play-offs.
The Democratic Republic of the Congo national team have thus begun their training camp. Some players are already in Mexico to begin preparations for this crucial fixture, in which the DR Congo will face either Jamaica or New Caledonia on 31 March 2026.
Brian Bayeye, called up to replace Jérémy Ngakia, Axel Tuanzebe and Edo Kayembe are among the players already in Mexico. A total of 26 players have been called up by Sébastien Desabre for this training camp. Ahead of the final on 31 March, the DR Congo will play a friendly match on 25 March against the Bermuda national team. This fixture will allow the Congolese squad to fine-tune their strategy.
