On March 10th, the eighth stage of the Biathlon World Cup concluded in Salt Lake City, USA. The final race of the competition was the men's pursuit race over a distance of 12.5 km.

The victory was claimed by Norwegian Johannes Thingnes Boe, who completed the distance in just 30 minutes and 2 seconds. The overall leader missed only once during shooting and finished ahead of his older brother Tarjei by 6.4 seconds. Joining the Boe brothers on the podium was Frenchman Emilien Jacquelin, who, despite three penalty loops, trailed the winner by 7.7 seconds. Sprint race winner Eric Perrot finished in eighth place.
