Kobbie is set to stay in Manchester for the long haul!
Details: According to Sky Sports, Manchester United head coach Michael Carrick has asked the club’s management to secure the future of 20-year-old central midfielder Kobbie Mainoo.
It is reported that the club has already initiated official negotiations with Mainoo regarding a new, improved and extended contract. Currently, Mainoo is the lowest-paid player in the first team, and the new deal is expected to correct that injustice.
This decision comes on the heels of news that Casemiro will be leaving the club this summer, as well as Mainoo’s impressive performance in the 2-0 victory over Manchester City.
Kobbie Mainoo is a Manchester United academy graduate who joined the first team in 2023. He has made 87 appearances for the Red Devils, scoring 7 goals and providing 3 assists.
Mainoo’s current contract with United runs until the summer of 2027, and his market value is estimated by Transfermarkt at 40 million euros.
