On June 7 in Paris, the winner of the Roland Garros men’s singles was determined. Alexander Zverev faced Flavio Cobolli in the final.

The German stormed through the opening set (6-1), but then allowed his opponent to claw back. Zverev took the third set, yet the battle’s fate was sealed in the decisive fifth. After a grueling tiebreak, the Italian simply ran out of steam in the final set—6-1, victory to Zverev.

Remarkably, this marks Zverev’s first career Grand Slam title. Until now, Sascha had lost three straight finals—US Open 2020, Roland Garros 2024, and Australian Open 2025.
