“The Cup will not leave the country,” says Abdoulaye Sow following CAF’s decision
According to the secretary general of the Senegalese Football Federation, Senegal will see this through to the end.
Abdoulaye Sow made a bombshell statement following the unprecedented decision by the African Football Confederation’s Appeal Committee to strip the Lions of Teranga of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations title in favour of Morocco. But as far as he is concerned, Senegal will not take this lying down. It will continue the fight to have its rights restored. The Senegalese Football Federation is hard at work, he said.
The Cup will not leave the country. CAF is rotten. The Federation president is talking to everyone involved. The fight is far from lost. I want to reassure all Senegalese people. Senegal is in the right and victory is on its side.
