Kylian Mbappé is demanding 55 million euros from the Parisian club as unpaid bonuses and salary. However, PSG is standing its ground, citing an oral agreement that, according to them, exempts them from making these payments.
Details. Mbappé's lawyer, Delphine Verheyden, stated that this case could set a dangerous precedent. She emphasized that by accepting the competition's rules, PSG is obligated to follow them.
"To participate in the championship, PSG accepts the regulations. But this situation suggests that the League and the Federation have no authority over the club. We are dealing with a case that goes far beyond my client's issue and could blow everything up," she is quoted by Mundo Deportivo.
Reminder. Kylian Mbappé moved to Real Madrid in the summer of 2024 as a free agent. Since then, the French striker has shown inconsistent form, scoring 13 goals in 23 matches.
