The coach of the Europa League champions has turned down an offer from England

Atalanta's head coach, Gian Piero Gasperini, recently revealed that he declined an offer from an English Premier League club. He has no intention of leaving his current team.

"In recent days and weeks, I received an important offer from a Premier League club. I cannot accept the offer and leave Italy; I am content here and plan my future with Atalanta", Gasperini told Gazzetta dello Sport.

The specific Premier League club interested in Gasperini was not disclosed.

Earlier reports indicated interest from Napoli, but Gasperini turned down that opportunity as well.

Gasperini has been managing Atalanta since the summer of 2016. During his tenure, the Bergamo club has played 386 matches, securing 201 victories. Under Gasperini's leadership, Atalanta made their first appearance in the Champions League and won the Europa League this season by defeating Bayer 3-0 in the final.

Gasperini's contract with Atalanta runs until the summer of 2025, but it is expected that he will extend the agreement soon.
