The coach of Lecce headbutted a Verona player after the final whistle

In today's match of the 28th round of the Italian Serie A, Lecce and Verona faced each other on the field. The match ended with a narrow victory for Verona (0:1), but the most interesting incident occurred after the final whistle.

After the match, a scuffle broke out between the players, involving the head coach of the home team, Roberto D'Aversa, and the forward of the visiting team, Thomas Henry.

D'Aversa was unhappy with Henry behavior, as he continued to argue with Lecce player Marino Pogrančić after the game ended. At one point, the coach approached Henry and headbutted him. The Frenchman fell to the ground but soon got up and attempted to confront the coach. He was restrained by several players and staff members.

The referee showed red cards to both D'Aversa and Henry, the latter of whom had already received a yellow card earlier in the match.
