The incident occurred in the ninth minute of the match at the AESSEAL New York Stadium. Both teams left the field while medical personnel responded to the emergency situation.

Later, Rotherham announced via social media that the gentleman left the stadium accompanied by medical staff. They expressed gratitude to everyone for their sympathy and patience, emphasizing their thoughts and feelings of empathy for the affected individual. After a 35-minute break, the game resumed, and the first half ended with a score of 0:0.

It is worth noting that Rotherham will definitely start the next season in League One, while Birmingham is fighting to remain in the Championship, currently occupying the 21st position, which ensures survival.
