Lazio's head coach Maurizio Sarri will depart the team after the conclusion of the current season, irrespective of the squad's performance in Serie A's concluding matches, as reported by Tuttomercatoweb.

Although Sarri's contract with the Roman club is set to run until the summer of 2025, both the coach and the club will mutually terminate the agreement.

Simultaneously, Nicolò Schira reports that Lazio has already identified the preferred candidate to succeed Sarri in the upcoming season. Lazio will attempt to lure Raffaele Palladino, the current head coach of Monza, to take the helm.

Sarri has been at the helm of Lazio since the summer of 2021. Prior to his tenure with the "Eagles," he held managerial positions at Juventus, Napoli, Chelsea, Empoli, and several Italian clubs in lower divisions.

Under Sarri's guidance, Lazio secured a second-place finish in the previous season and reached the Round of 16 in the current season's Champions League, where they lost to Bayern Munich. After 27 Serie A matchdays, Lazio currently occupies the ninth position.
