The celebration 'succeeded.' 25 hospitalized after Hamburg's Bundesliga promotion

For the first time in seven years, Hamburg has made its way back to the elite of German football. The long-awaited return came after a home match in the 2. Bundesliga against Ulm. However, the post-match celebrations on the pitch quickly turned chaotic and resulted in a wave of injuries.
Details: Hamburg's fire department reported that 44 fans suffered injuries during the pitch invasion at Volksparkstadion and sought medical attention, with 25 of them requiring hospitalization.
Most of those hospitalized are in serious condition, and one supporter was admitted to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. In total, around 65 emergency service personnel were deployed to assist the injured.
Reminder: With one round left in the season, Hamburg pulled four points clear of third-placed Elversberg, making it impossible for them to drop below second place—the cutoff for automatic promotion to the Bundesliga. Previously, Hamburg finished fourth four times, narrowly missing out on the playoff zone, and twice lost in the relegation playoffs.
