The Cameroonian Talent Set for Algerian League Amid High Expectations
Cameroonian wonderkid Nathan Doualla is on the verge of signing with Algerian giants USM Alger, according to reports from 237foot. The deal includes a €35,000 transfer fee and a resale percentage for his current club, Victoria United.
In spite of the controversy surrounding his age, 18-year-old Doualla made news as the youngest player in CAN 2023. The offensive midfield player has subsequently made an impression with his performances after being cleared by the Cameroonian Football Federation (Fecafoot). The emerging talent now appears destined to continue his career in a tough Algerian league following a failed transfer to Antalyaspor in Turkey.
The deal is said to be for two and a half seasons and will see Douala help USM Alger in their CAF Confederation Cup campaign, where they currently top their group. With international experience, including captaining the Cameroon U20 team, Douala is seen as a key player who could make a big difference for the Cameroon national team.
If completed, this transfer might be a major turning point in Doualla's career, giving him a chance to excel on the continental scene and supporting USM Alger's aspirations for both national and worldwide success.
