This award recognises the best footballer in the local league.
Held annually, the 2026 Cameroon Ballon d'Or ceremony will take place on 27 February at the Palais des Congrès in Yaoundé. This year's winner will succeed John Bosco Nchindo, winner of the 2025 edition.
The winner of the prestigious Cameroonian award will receive a car donated by a partner of the Cameroonian Football Federation. In addition to the award for best player of the year, other awards will also be presented to local football players. These include awards for the best men's and women's teams and the best coach.
