The governing body of Cameroonian football has stated that it has referred the case to the competent courts.

The match between Colombe Sportive and Panthère Sportive was not completed on Thursday 26 February at the Stade Militaire in Yaoundé. This was because the Colombe players refused to resume play after Panthère was awarded a penalty. The remaining 20 minutes of the match elapsed and the referee blew the final whistle.

In its statement published this Friday 27 February, the Cameroonian Football Federation outlined the procedure to be followed to determine the final outcome of the match.

In accordance with the provisions of the FECAFOOT General Regulations and Disciplinary Code, the entire file, including the match sheet, official reports and other supporting evidence, has been forwarded to the competent judicial commissions for further action.

The Cameroon Football Federation firmly reiterates that the technical assessment of the facts of the game is the sole responsibility of the referee and that any dispute over a refereeing decision must be dealt with through the regulatory channels provided for this purpose.

The decision regarding the approval of the match, the possible awarding of the trophy and the imposition of disciplinary sanctions is the exclusive prerogative of the judicial authorities.
