The fullback of Barcelona, Joao Cancelo, missed the recent La Liga match against Atletico (3:0) due to precautionary measures taken by the club.

The reason for his absence was due to the fact that his native brother had been diagnosed with cardiac issues, prompting Barcelona's medical staff to subject Cancelo to tests to rule out any hereditary nature of the condition.

According to A Bola, the Portuguese player successfully underwent the medical examination, which revealed no health issues. He will be able to return to the field immediately after the international break.

In the current season, Cancelo has played 32 matches for Barcelona, scoring four goals and providing four assists.

The Manchester City defender and Portuguese international has been on loan at Barcelona since September last year. Earlier reports suggested that the player himself wishes to remain with the Catalan club.
