The bronze medalist of the Junior Ice Hockey World Championship has emerged as the tournament nears its conclusion. The Czech national team faced off against Finland in a contest to determine the recipients of the bronze medals.

In the first period, the Finns found the net twice, taking a 2-0 lead. Towards the end of the period, the Czechs responded with a goal of their own. In the second period, Czech Republic initially equalized the score, but then conceded three consecutive goals. In the final minute of this period, they managed to score one goal, making it 5-3.

In the fifth minute of the third period, Czech Republic narrowed the deficit. The game settled down, taking a calmer pace. Finland defended and was very close to securing the bronze medals. However, in the last two minutes, a dramatic turn of events unfolded. In just 50 seconds, the Czech team scored four goals, clinching an incredible victory of 8-5!

The Czech national team now stands as the bronze medalist of the Junior Ice Hockey World Championship in 2024. Finland, in turn, takes the fourth position.
