Before the 15th round match of the Brazilian Série A between Remo and Palmeiras, organizers announced a delay to the start due to adverse weather conditions.
Due to heavy rainfall, the kickoff was initially postponed by 30 minutes, and then delayed for another half hour. As the pitch conditions improved and after a second inspection of the venue, it was decided that the game would begin with a delay of 1 hour and 40 minutes.
As a reminder, after 14 matches played, Palmeiras sits atop the Série A standings, while their opponent is second from the bottom, although Remo has won its last two matches, including a victory over Botafogo.
