Despite yet another exit at the hands of Real Madrid, Pep believes that the “Galacticos” have not been the biggest problem of his career.

Details: At the post-match press conference following Manchester City's defeat in the second leg of the Champions League round of 16 and their elimination by Real Madrid, the City manager answered a Spanish journalist who asked whether Real had been the toughest opponent of his career.

Pep acknowledged Real Madrid’s greatness, but said his most problematic opponent was former Liverpool boss Jürgen Klopp:

“Real Madrid was not the most serious challenge for me. The biggest problem for me was Jürgen Klopp and Liverpool.

Maybe you are in Spain [journalists] and didn’t notice... You can’t even imagine what it was like to play against Liverpool in those matches – it was an incredible experience.” – said Pep.

In their head-to-head history, Klopp has beaten Guardiola 12 times, while Pep has triumphed over Klopp 11 times.

At the moment, Jürgen has stepped away from coaching, but football fans still hope to witness another legendary clash between the two greatest managers of the modern era.

For the record: Pep Guardiola has lost both legs of a Champions League knockout tie for the fourth time
