The big comeback: Christensen set to match against Real Sociedad
After Barcelona's draw in the Copa del Rey against Atletico Madrid (4-4), the Catalan team received good news with Andreas Christensen's return from injury.
Details: On Wednesday, Barcelona confirmed that Christensen received medical clearance from the club's officials, according to Mundo Deportivo. Thus, he is now ready for the La Liga match against Real Sociedad this weekend.
Christensen's return means Barcelona now has only two injured players: Marc-André ter Stegen, who is close to returning, and Marc Bernal, who will not play this season after tearing his anterior cruciate ligament in August.
Christensen hasn't played since the first round of La Liga when he came on as a substitute against Valencia. A few days after that match, he underwent surgery to correct a problematic Achilles tendon injury, which sidelined him for five months.
The defender returned to Barcelona's squad in January but was unable to take the field against Getafe, Benfica, or Valencia. Then, the defender sustained another injury that kept him out for four weeks, although he has now recovered from it.
Reminder: Earlier, we reported that Man City, Barcelona, Milan, and Inter are interested in the services of Como's head coach, Cesc Fabregas.
