Former Liverpool midfielder Dietmar Hamann has urged Mohamed Salah to leave Anfield at the end of the season, arguing that a summer exit would suit both player and club. He believes the forward’s future has become an unwanted distraction under new manager Arne Slot.
Speaking to BetGoat, Hamann questioned Salah’s direction, saying, “He had the chance to go to Saudi Arabia last season, and he did not… I am not sure he wants to go there.”
He added, “the best solution would be to part ways… It would probably benefit him and the team,” noting repeated questions over Salah’s role “becomes a distraction.”
