Bayern Munich winger Michael Olise has been named the best footballer of the 2025/26 Bundesliga season. The French midfielder received the award ahead of the championship trophy ceremony at Munich's Allianz Arena.
The 24-year-old was presented with the honor by German Football League (DFL) managing directors Marc Lenz and Steffen Merkel. The organization praised Olise's performances, highlighting his impact on the team's play throughout the entire campaign.
Michael Olise is an outstanding player, capable of changing the course of matches. His pace, technical skill, consistency, and productivity have been among the key factors of this Bundesliga season. He has become one of the brightest stars of the league, both domestically and on the international stage, DFL representatives noted.
Olise delivered a sensational season with the Munich giants, tallying 15 goals and providing 19 assists. The Frenchman became the first Bundesliga player since the 2019/20 season to reach at least 15 goals and 15 assists in a single campaign.
Remarkably, this is not the winger's first individual accolade. Last season, Olise was named Bundesliga Rookie of the Year, and now he has taken another step forward by claiming the title of the league's best player overall.
