The leadership of Bayern Munich has held talks with one of the candidates for the position of head coach.

According to journalist Florian Plettenberg, the bosses of the Munich club met with Ralf Rangnick and engaged in substantive discussions.

However, the German specialist is not the top candidate to replace Thomas Tuchel. It is noted that the club intends to first invite Roberto De Zerbi or Julian Nagelsmann. Only if they are not available will Rangnick be offered the position.

At 65, Rangnick currently coaches the Austrian national team. He will lead the team at Euro 2024. The German specialist is also known for his work with Manchester United, RB Leipzig, Schalke, Hoffenheim, and other clubs.

Earlier reports indicated that the leadership of Bayern Munich also held talks with another candidate for the position of head coach.
