Bayern Munich's leader Joshua Kimmich will have a discussion with new head coach Vincent Kompany to determine his role in the club.
According to Bayern & Germany, Kimmich will have a detailed conversation with Kompany after his vacation. The player would like to return to the midfield, although there is significant competition for that position following the signing of Palhinha.
Kimmich hopes that Kompany recognizes his value in midfield, as the team's buildup play has often been initiated through him in recent years. However, the club expects Joshua to continue playing as a right-back if he stays.
Kimmich feels comfortable in Munich and has recently built a new family home in Grünwald. However, at the moment, everything points towards a departure. Bayern does not want to lose the player as a free agent next summer.
