The official announcement of the transfer is expected soon.

Details: According to renowned and reputable journalist and insider Fabrizio Romano on his X social media page, Italian side Genoa have managed to beat English club West Ham in the race for 26-year-old Brazilian goalkeeper Bento from Al Nassr.

It is reported that all details of the transfer have been agreed upon, and the final preparations are underway ahead of the official contract signing, which will take place after Al Nassr's match against Al-Qadsiah later today.

Bento joined Al Nassr in 2024 from Athletico Paranaense for €18 million. The Brazilian shot-stopper has played 59 matches for Al Nassr, conceding 61 goals and keeping 20 clean sheets.

Bento's transfer value is estimated at €9 million by Transfermarkt.

Earlier, media reports suggested that West Ham were close to landing Bento, but as we see, Genoa proved more persistent and determined.
