Today, Boca Juniors are playing their third group stage match of the Club World Cup against Auckland City in Nashville, but the game has been significantly delayed.

Details: Early in the second half, referee Glenn Nyberg was forced to lead the teams off the pitch due to deteriorating weather conditions.

The reason? Torrential rain began in the Nashville area, where the match is being held. According to U.S. regulations, you cannot host outdoor sporting events if lightning has been detected within a 30-mile radius.

This is already the fifth such incident at the current Club World Cup.

The match was halted at a sensational 1-1 scoreline. Just minutes before the stoppage, Auckland City unexpectedly drew level from a corner—scoring their first goal of the tournament. In their previous two matches against Bayern and Benfica, the team suffered defeats with a combined score of 0-16.

Reminder: Earlier, PSG head coach Luis Enrique criticized the condition of the pitches at stadiums in the United States.
