The kickoff of the match between Almería and Málaga has been delayed by an hour due to serious disturbances involving fans of both teams. The fixture will now begin at 21:30 instead of the scheduled time, following a series of incidents that took place near the stadium.
Reports indicate that Almería locals had been complaining since early morning about the behavior of Málaga supporters who had arrived in the city. According to witnesses, the visiting fans sang offensive chants targeting the club and the city, set off firecrackers, and left litter in the Vega de Acá district.
The most serious incident occurred shortly before the match was due to start. The Málaga team bus was attacked by radical home supporters, who hurled stones at the vehicle. As a result, police blocked the bus for nearly an hour, preventing the team from leaving to avoid further clashes. This incident directly led to the postponement of the kickoff.
Currently, the situation is under police control, and the match is set to go ahead after increased security measures around the stadium. It's worth noting that the winner of this match will earn promotion to La Liga.
