Now Laporta will have to work hard to secure the necessary funds.
Details: According to MARCA, Barcelona's budget has taken a major hit, leaving the club short of the money needed to finish the Spotify Camp Nou renovation.
It is reported that Blaugrana president Joan Laporta has urgently appealed to the club's members, asking them to extend the €1.4 billion loan to finally get the project over the line.
The Camp Nou renovation was originally scheduled for completion by 2027, but the recent financial setbacks could cause significant delays to the project timeline.
For now, Barcelona plans to resume hosting matches at the stadium starting from November 2025.
