The final Champions League puzzle is almost complete.

Details: The 2026/27 Champions League league phase will feature 36 clubs. UEFA confirmed 29 direct entrants, while the remaining seven places were decided through qualifying. Sabah, LASK and Bodø/Glimt secured their tickets on Tuesday, before Viking, AEK Athens and Fenerbahçe joined them on Wednesday. The final spot went to Slovan Bratislava, who defeated Celje 2-1 after extra time and completed the list of participants in the tournament.

The Champions League league phase draw is scheduled for August 27. The first matchday will be played from September 8 to 10. Under the current format, all 36 clubs form one table, with every team playing eight matches against eight different opponents.
