The new season hasn't started yet, but fans have already had the chance to witness El Clásico. During their tour in the United States, Barcelona and Real Madrid played a friendly match.
Although this encounter was primarily experimental and friendly, it was no less captivating.
The Catalans scored the first goal at the end of the first half. Pau Delgado found the net from a few meters out after a splendid pass from Robert Lewandowski.
The second goal also came from the Catalans, with Delgado scoring again. He was in the right place at the right time to slot the ball home after a cross from Álex Valle.
Towards the end of the match, Real Madrid managed to pull one back through the efforts of their young talents. Arda Güler delivered a corner kick, which Nico Paz successfully converted.
It is worth noting that all the goals were scored by young talents from both teams. For Barcelona, it was their new signing, Pau Delgado, who made a significant impact. Delgado signed with the Catalans this season, joining from Girona, although he had spent the previous year on loan with Barcelona.
Of course, this match is difficult to evaluate in terms of team strength. Both coaches were testing their tactics and players. Many key players were not on the field, and the game itself was charitable in nature. Nonetheless, the Catalans emerged victorious this time.
In the upcoming season, we can expect at least two El Clásicos. The eternal Spanish rivals will face each other in La Liga on October 27 and May 11.
