Lionel Messi recently marked his 38th birthday. To commemorate the occasion, the football star hosted a small, intimate party with his family, sharing snapshots from the celebration on his Instagram page.

The Argentine posted several photos where he poses with his birthday cake, alongside his wife and children, and also with his parents. It’s clear the event was filled with warmth and a homely atmosphere.

“Thank you so much for all the greetings and congratulations!!. 😃 Sending you all a big hug!” Leo wrote in the caption to his post.

Among the comments was Inter Miami owner David Beckham, who added his own message: “Happy birthday to the greatest.”

It’s also worth noting that Inter Miami gave Messi a special birthday present — the team managed to advance from their group in the Club World Cup. Now, the American side will face French powerhouse PSG, Messi’s former club, in the round of 16.
