Thabo Cele Expresses Frustration with Kaizer Chiefs’ Struggles Under Nabi

After a difficult season with Kaizer Chiefs, midfielder Thabo Cele has publicly voiced his displeasure with the team's poor play. Cele has been dissatisfied with the team's performance, particularly in the league, where they are now ranked eighth, even though management and coach Nasreddine Nabi have provided them with plenty of support.

Cele's Limited Contribution to the Chiefs

Fans are worried since Cele has only made 10 appearances for Amakhosi across all competitions since arriving in January 2024. Cele, who was well regarded, was brought in by Coach Nabi to assist rebuild the team, but the outcomes have been disappointing. Both players and fans have been disappointed by the team's four wins, five losses, and one draw so far this season.

Cele Speaks Out on the Team’s Struggles

In an interview, Thabo Cele reflected on the team's struggles with consistency.

"We constantly try to maintain control over the games, but occasionally we are prone to losing it quickly. It's a frustrating situation. However, Cele acknowledged the team's recent performance gains and stated, "I think it's something that we've been working on."

Cele is determined to keep a good outlook in spite of the difficulties.

"We converse with one another to keep the mood upbeat. You must be optimistic at these times and maintain the motivation to keep going."
